HOW TO ROCK YOUR INTERVIEW

INTEREST IN TRAINING SESSIONS IS UP! IF YOU CAN’T ATTEND A SESSION, INFORM YOUR HEAD
We’re pleased to see a significant increase of staff interested in and attending scheduled training sessions. However, if a work-related priority comes up and you cannot attend the training session, please remember to let your Head know so that they can fill your spot.
NOTIFY CAMPUS SECURITY IF YOU SEE SUSPICIOUS INDIVIDUALS
We’ve had a recent increase of suspicious individuals entering USB. If you have any reason to suspect a person in our workplace, please contact Campus Security at 604-822-2222.
NOT SURE WHERE TO PARK? HAVE AN IDEA FOR A NEW SPOT?
As a reminder, staff who use a Building Operations vehicle can park in meters spots (without paying the meter), loading bays, and Building Ops reserved spots. We cannot park in otherwise reserved spots and fire lanes. However, if there is a bonafide emergency that could result in asset damage, please use your best judgment just like you would in your own neighbourhood.
If you see underutilized parking spots or an opportunity to create a new reserved spot, please contact the FM for that areas. The FM will consult with Parking to find a better solution.
BUILDING AUDITS FOR CAPITAL RENEWAL PROGRAM COMPLETE
The Ministry of Advanced Education building audits are complete. We will receive the official, completed reports later this Fall. These reports help us understand our deferred maintenance and renewal needs, which help us show the University our need for capital renewal money.
UBC Hospital – No Parking in Front of Garbage Compactors/Bins
Please follow signage and park in the assigned loading zone areas on Hospital lane between IRC and the Hospital. Building Operations vehicles are not permitted to park in front of the garbage compactors and bins.
LIFE SCIENCES CENTRE MECHANICAL ROOM HAS BEEN REKEYED TO THE NM-1 KEY
Please ensure the door is secured when you leave (i.e. doors are not propped open).
