SOFT LANDSCAPE AND LABOURERS WORK TOGETHER TO RESTORE MOA POND
The entire soft landscape team took an hour and a half out of their day to take part in the restoration of the Museum of Anthropology (MoA) pond. The labour crew contributed by vigorously re-establishing the original cut of the shorelines.
Rocks, weeds, and debris were removed from the pond to recreate the pond’s original feel. Great work to all involved!

BRIGHT IDEA: NEW PAPER TOWEL AND SOAP DISPENSERS SAVE BIG DOLLARS
Going up all over UBC you’ll see our 4,600 new soap and paper dispensers. the new dispensers are part of a change in suppliers that are helping UBC save
over $155,000 this year.
• All dispensers are being provided and installed free–of–charge to UBC
• All of our old dispensers are being properly recycled
• The new soap and paper supplies support our sustainability goals

CAMPUS SAFETY ALERT: VOYEUR AT PLACE VANIER AND TOTEM PARK RESIDENCES
Over the last few days we have had several voyeurism reports from guests staying in the Place Vanier and Totem Park residences. These incidents include varying witness descriptions of an intruder (or intruders) looking through unlocked residence room doors at partially clothed female students.
Building Operations’ custodial staff have been actively participating as part of the elevated presence at the residences. Thank you to everyone who has gone the extra mile to help our summer guest feel safe and be safe.
